ISABELLA GRANADA PREMIERES NEW VIDEO for band 'homer'

Isabella Granada, the New York-based emerging cinematographer who we collaborated with on a video project a couple years ago, has released new work. The video, which can be seen above, is an unofficial music video for upcoming musical duo ‘Homer’ – the band did approve of the release, though. Shot entirely on Super 8, the video was a passion project for Granada and co-directors Sarah Simpson and Ania Jackson, who wanted to work on something entirely for themselves as opposed to making things for the sake of work. Granada reached out to Homer on Instagram about making the video, and they quickly gave her their blessing for it. Granada, Simpson, and Jackson went all out with the making of it – using multiple locations and effects to bring it to life. The decision to shoot it on Super 8 was a wise one, as the phased-out medium works to create the perfect mood for the track.

Granada aims to direct and shoot more of her own projects on film, so this video was a step in that direction. “It was a great way to do something just because we wanted to,” she explains, “and we’re very pleased with how it came out!”
